Description:
I just wanted to place the monitor on a shelf, without the original stand.
So I designed that thing...
With this solution, your shelf can be a little higher than usual. And your neck wont hurt :)
You can use a Vesa mount, but this solution is cheaper, and the monitor can be placed more close to the wall.
If you want, you can quickly remove the monitor by loosening the screw (5) and removing parts (3, 4) from the part (2).
It holds my 32´´ with no problems :)
I printed PETG, 6 perimeters and 80 percent infill
Needed material:
- 2x screw 4 mm (for dowel)
- 2x dowels 6 mm
- 2x wood screw 4 mm (for shelf)
- 1x M5X25 countersunk head screw (+nut and washer)
Postprocess:
- remove the supports
- I had to rethread the threads of parts (2) and (5) with a tap (M10x1,5),
but on your printer, it might be okay (mine is over-extruded a little)
Warning:
- always make sure, that monitor is securely mounted...
- test how it holds... Be 100% sure, the monitor cannot fall
in any case. (If you aren´t, don´t use this thing).
