Description

It is recommended to print this in TPU.

PLA should also work but is not equally flexible.

Clean the target area with IPA or other cleaners before appling the 3M tape.

I would like to improve the model and your feedback is required.

Happy printing!

printed well looks nice. however cord clip is a little tight for plenty of the applications I would use. I’d reccomend either making it bigger or MAYBE doing TPU.

Thankyou for your comment. Yes the first line in the description mentions that it is recommended to print with TPU. Did you print the 6mm wire version? What is your wire diameter? I can make another version.

my apologies I guess my eyes glazed over that description portion. my Mixer cord should be the same. I used micrometers it’s a lil over 6mm. the PLA is definitely to stiff. I tried but it would damage the cord. I will reprint in TPU and see how it goes. thank you

This 6mm version worked well for my thicker stand mixer wire. I am able to stick it on to the mixer and get the cord in and out nicely. I think a good upgrade would be to make the base a bit thicker and then inset where a command strip (double sided sticky strip) might go. That would make it a bit more asthetic because there would be less gap and less strip visible.

yea good thinking. this can be done but then the issue would be the thickness of the 3m tape. some are thicker and some are very slim.

The holder printed well and it is big enough to hide a standard 3M command strip. However, the opening in the wire catch was too small for my Kitchen Aid mixers wire. I printed in PLA not TPU, but even with a lot of pressure it would not get into the opening. Perhaps if it were thinner even with PLA it would be be more flexible. I chose this particular design since the photo showed it with a similar mixer. Photos show me trying to get the cord (6mm diameter) from my mixer to sit in the opening

Hmmm good to know. I uploaded a version for thicker wire. 6mm should fit in this one.
