This is a printable dry box for external spools. It has a spot for a clear screen, as well as a rectangular hygrometer. This box is designed to fit standard spools with a diameter of 200mm. The box is completely reversable, so if you want to put the hygrometer on the top or the bottom, both will work. It also has canisters for silica desiccant beads.

You will be required to print a little bit of TPU for this box.

Required Parts:

• 2x 608 Skateboard Bearings
• 1x Acrylic Sheet 50mm x 90mm
• 1x Mini Hygrometer

Plates:

• Plate 1: Dry Box [68mm]
  • This box will fit spools with a width up to 68mm.
    • The standard BambuLab spool is 66mm; so its designed for that.
    • You'll SEVEN “PTFE hole” part additions. These are seven optional holes you can add to the box to create a spot to plug a PTFE tube into the box. If you want to add a hole in one of these spots, just delete the part addition to reveal the hole.
    • The viewing screen area will fit a piece of glass sized at 50mm x 80mm.
      • If you use the 50mm x 90mm acrylic I linked above, you will need to cut it down by 10mm to fit.
      • Optionally, you can glue in the screen using a small amount of clear silicone sealant.
• Plate 2: Dry Box [88mm]
  • This box will fit spools with a width up to 88mm.
    • Has the same seven PTFE holes.
    • The viewing screen area will fit a piece of glass sized at 50mm x 90mm.
• Plate 3: Cover
  • The cover piece for the dry box.
• Plate 4: Silica Boxes [68mm]
  • Two silica canisters that will fit in the 68mm dry box.
  • Also includes a funnel for filling up those canisters.
• Plate 5: Silica Boxes [88mm]
  • Two silica canisters that will fit in the 88mm dry box.
  • Also includes a funnel for filling up those canisters.
• Plate 6: TPU Gaskets

  • The gasket for the cover. You'll notice it's 10mm smaller than the cover. This is on purpose. It's TPU, it stretches.
  • PTFE hole gasket. Wherever you want to put a PTFE hole on the box, plug in this gasket to create a seal around the hole.
  • PTFE hole plug. If you want to plug the PTFE hole, you can use this plug.
  • Silica Canister Caps for the silica cannisters. Notice the orientation of the tab.
• Plate 7: Rollers [55mm]
  • Rollers for a standard BambuLab spool which has a 55mm inner diameter.
• Plate 8: Rollers [special]
  • Rollers designed for my BambuLab Filament Desiccant Spool Holders.
