Description

After seeing all the cool Valentine's Day ideas on makerworld, it seemed like our faithful companions were left out. I took some inspiration from other folks who were creating these really cool string art pieces and worked on something special for our four-legged friends. This is a small piece - only about 120 mm x 120 mm total - but it is something that you can have fun printing and learning about how string art is created. As a bonus - I have uploaded the raw step file so you can see the method behind my madness. That said, I am not a professional designer and only pretend to know how to use Fusion360. Hopefully, this will help some out with the magic behind how string art is created. Please feel free to message me if I messed something up. I will also post the original file without the paw print in case anyone wants to give it a shot with their own object.

A couple of things to note:

I have spent most of the day printing multiple models and fine-tuning the Bambu printers' settings. I used my A1 because I figured that the X1 would have knocked it out of the park anyway,
DO NOT RESIZE IT - I've made that mistake. The strings are precisely .2mm square, and the very second you scale it, it's all over.

Absolutely stunning print! I still can't figure out how all of the lines stay put, and don't break, but they do :).

Excellent work Austin, I have been trying to do string art in F360 but when i slice it the sting only attaches to the edge of the of the outside and inside ring. It also treats the strings as overhangs rather then bridges. Any advice would be appreciated if you have time. Thanks Mike
