This is a remix of a design i've found here on makerworld link further below.
I liked the original design, but i had problems during loading and unloading of my esun spools. Turns out the outer diameter was a little to big, even though it was within the AMS specs.
The first stage feedermotor had a hard time pulling on the spool when the lid was closed.
As soon as i opened the latches, which hold the lid in place, the spool would turn way easier.
So in just releasing the lid a little the problem was gone.
So i redesigned the ring a little, this model prints with only 1 wall in vase mode, in doing so i ended up gaining 0,8mm in diameter. Turns out i am almost at the diameter of the original bambu spools now.
I've tested it in my ams and the esun spools work now like a charm.
I recommend you to print them in petg and on the engineering plate, to also avoid friction on the side of the spool.
As we all know, the cardboard spools are never straight, so they tend to wobble in the ams. So if you add now texture on the rings, you will also add friction which in turn will give the feeder a hard time.
So in summary:
Material : PETG
Build Plate: Engineering Plate
First Layer height: 0.28mm
Layer height: 0.2mm
Wall count: 1
Vase mode: enabled
