Description

I wanted to create a light box but not one like so many others have so I designed something a little bit different.

The lamp prints with very little support required. Most parts simply screw together or with m4 or m3 screw and nut (3 ea.).

For lighting I used the style of puck light that comes with the Bambu Lab lighting kit but can be found on Aliexpress or Amazon as well in single and RGB colors. I used two separate lights so I could control the brightness and colors separately for the ball and the logo. I found a 2 in 1 unit on Aliexpress that would work well also. If you prefer it could be illuminated with the strip lighting of your choice.

The team logo plates are simply slid into a slot from the bottom or you can easily remove the frame to slide them in and replace the frame. However if this is done repeatedly the catches on the box may wear off and neccesitate attaching the frame in some other way.

Assembly Instructions:

Use a screw and a nut to join these two components. Place the nut in the threaded piece and fasten screw from the other side.

Install the light and screw into the block shown below. The depth can be adjusted to bring the light closer or further from the plate.

Insert the nut in the threaded side and fasten the screw through the back of the frame box.

Place the nut in the tube and fasten with a screw through the light holder. This assembly slides into the flared pipe with the threaded bottom.

Place the light in the holder and feed the wire through the channel, into the flared pipe and through the hole in the frame box.

Next slide the light assembly into the flared post.

Insert the post in the box and fasten with the nut.

Finally run the wires out the back of the frame box.

I think you need to make a short video of the process for better clarity. Cheers.
