Why should one not combine a coil weight and a silicate container? Here, the best features from two worlds come together!

As weights, batteries, metal nuts, screws, or even silicate are suitable!

There are two PROFILES available:

• PROFILE 1: Version with grids on both sides - for Silica or weights like batteries.
• PROFILE 2: Solid Version for weight only

The weight aspect of filament spools plays a crucial role, especially towards the end of the filament when only a small amount of material remains on the spool. A balanced weight ensures that the spool functions smoothly in the Automatic Material Feed System (AMS), preventing it from tangling or causing issues in material flow.

As the filament spool becomes lighter towards the end of the material, there is a risk of it getting jammed or unwinding unevenly in the AMS. Sufficient weight on the spool helps maintain the necessary tension and ensures that the filament is guided through the AMS evenly and without disruptions.

Appropriate spool weight not only ensures a smooth material flow but also contributes to maintaining print quality and precision, especially during long print jobs where the filament volume on the spool decreases. It is advisable to consider weight optimization in the design of filament spools, along with material compatibility and spool dimensions, to guarantee reliable and trouble-free AMS operation until the end of the filament.

Warum sollte man ein Spulentgewicht und einen Silikat-Container nicht kombinieren? Hier vereinen sich die besten Eigenschaften aus zwei Welten!
Als Gewicht eignen sich Batterien, Metallmuttern, Schrauben oder eben auch Silikat!

Es sind zwei Profile verfügbar:

• PROFIL 1: Version mit Gitter auf beiden Seiten - für Silikat oder Gewichte wie zB. Batterien.
• PROFIL 2: Solide Version nur für Gewicht.

Der Gewichtsaspekt bei Filamentspulen spielt eine entscheidende Rolle, insbesondere gegen Ende des Filaments, wenn nur noch wenig Material auf der Rolle verbleibt. Ein ausgewogenes Gewicht sorgt dafür, dass die Spule reibungslos im automatischen Materialzuführungssystem (AMS) funktioniert, ohne sich zu verheddern oder Probleme beim Materialfluss zu verursachen.

Wenn die Filamentspule leicht wird und gegen Ende des Materials neigt, besteht die Gefahr, dass sie im AMS verklemmt oder sich ungleichmäßig abwickelt. Ein ausreichendes Gewicht auf der Spule hilft dabei, die benötigte Spannung aufrechtzuerhalten und sicherzustellen, dass das Filament gleichmäßig und störungsfrei durch das AMS geführt wird.

Ein angemessenes Gewicht gewährleistet nicht nur einen reibungslosen Materialfluss, sondern trägt auch dazu bei, Druckqualität und Präzision zu erhalten, insbesondere bei langen Druckaufträgen, bei denen das Filamentvolumen auf der Spule abnimmt.
