Low resistance universal 3D filament spool holder - Cool Spool

Cool Spool is a simple 3D filament spool holder. It is designed to eliminate the resistance caused by poorly designed holder's. Most stock filament holders are just metal rods (square with rounded edges or cylinders). The spools constantly rubbing on them during 3D printing will eventually lead to problems. The extra effort required to have a nice regular flow could reduce the life of your extruder's motor.

Cool Spool solves this problems by using a sturdy base and a set of rollers. One base, two rollers and lock pins is all you need. No need to go to the hardware store running for bolts or screws. Everything is 3D printed, 100%. It can take any 3D filament spool size up to 1 kg (did not test heavier spool yet).

Spool wheight : up to 1 kg
Spool thickness: up to 68mm

Base:
- Align the flat side with the print bed
- Infill 20% (or higher)
- Supports everywhere

Rollers & Pins:
- Lay on the side for sturdier parts / Standing for smoother finish
- Infill 30% (or higher)
- Supports (only where touching the print bed)

** If rollers printed standing >> Use brim 16 mm (minimum)

N.B.: Cardboard Spools tend to slide on plastic rollers. After all the parts are assembled it can easilly be fixed by covering the rollers with electrical tape.
