Hello 😊
I am delighted to share my very first submission with the MakerWorld community.
I am pleased to introduce my rendition of a Self-Watering Pot. This design features a strategically positioned spout to minimize spillage during pouring, along with a generously sized opening for effortless refilling.
A purposefully crafted opening accommodates a commercially available Water Level Indicator (linked below). Additionally, I have carefully redesigned the cap for the Water Level Indicator to seamlessly blend with various pot colours, while optimizing its internal structure to ensure consistent buoyancy and minimize displacement.
To address initial challenges encountered during prototyping, I have developed a complementary drip tray. This addition not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also addresses potential leakage issues observed with low infill settings during initial test prints.
In the foreseeable future, I plan to introduce a compact version of this pot, maintaining compatibility with the water level indicator. However, it may require cutting the Water Level Indicator tube for optimal fit. I have also included 3D-printable parts for the Water Level Indicator.
Water Level Indicator Size: Approximately 20cm/7.87 inches.
For these Plant Pots, I primarily used Basic PLA, Matte PLA, Marble PLA, and the Galaxy PLA from Bambu Labs. My Wife particularly enjoys the Galaxy PLA from Bambu Labs, as well as the White Marble variant.
Note: The large plant pot base can be printed without supports. The Lid will require supports.
