My drawer is not a multiple of 50cm, there was space for another half bin, so Halfstep was born. 

These 0.5 unit panels clip to normal MultiGrid panels using the Panel to Panel Connector, then if you can place any bin with a Halfstep base over this area. Due to the design of the HalfStep base it can be placed across the grid or aligned with it as usual.

You can place any bin with a dimension's of 1 or more on an existing base, and it won't move. For bins with a 0.5 dimension they will be able to slide, to avoid this you can clip in a Halfstep Positioner into the usual Panel or Base Plate:
