A part of RMIT Major Project.

Hi everyone! this device is intended to be the first of a family of product developed for the purpose of aiding daily lives of people with mobility impairments, specifically arthritis.

This project especially aims for the involvement of the open design community to participate in the iterative development of assistive devices!

Three assistive devices are designed for this project,

First device combines three functionalities of existing assistive devices, into one compact piece. This device can be used for writing aid, a grocer bag holder, and  a key turner.

Second device is a detachable, cam-style gripper designed to make objects easier to grip. This device includes editable spring that is modifiable to the object being held.

Third object is a pill dispenser. This is a slide system that will output 1 pill at a time, and also includes editable “bottom” for different pills.

This project is still very early in the development and I will add more details as the project grows.  Please feel free to try the device out! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)

Best regards,

Marshall
